Abarth is ready to present two new limited edition special series, symbolizing the two faces of the brand and connected with their respective characteristics: they are Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro and Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha.
Produced in only 2000 examples each, the two cars are a tribute to the fans of the brand and will be presented to the international media on 18 September through a virtual press conference. Since a few days, however, it is already possible to order the two new special series in Abarth showrooms, also by accessing the financing in collaboration with FCA Bank.
Once again the public can count on the brand’s loyalty to style and performance in an exclusive and spectacular new guise. With these special series, Abarth enhances the values that have always been its own and that make it an iconic brand among enthusiasts: style and distinctive elements, the company’s heritage as regards the Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro and the “fun”, adrenaline and enjoyment of the new Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha.
Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro
L’Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro è un tributo alla storica A112 Abarth “Gold Ring” del 1979, conosciuta dagli appassionati come A112 Abarth “Targa Oro”.
From the latter, now one of the most coveted collectors’ items, it takes the scorpion-black livery and gold-coloured details. What makes the Scorpioneoro even more exclusive is the numbered plaque inside the passenger compartment and the matt black chequered roof to match the “tar cold grey” trim.
Also new are the Abarth “Scorpionflage” sports seats, upholstered in black leather with the seat in technical material to provide even more comfort during the sportiest of drives.
Some of the details that make the difference are the “Scorpioneoro” inscription embroidered on the headrests and its companions: the Abarth embroidery and the Italian flag.
This homage to history does not, however, preclude a glimpse into the future thanks to the presence of the UconnectTM 7″ HD system – the best in the field of infotainment – and the advanced BeatsAudioTM system, both of which come as standard. Finally, a special Breil chronograph, also a limited edition and featuring the iconic golden Scorpion logo, makes this version even more attractive.
The attention to aesthetics is the same as that dedicated to performance, the distinctive look is in fact combined with the adrenalin-pumping performance for which Abarth is a guarantee, thanks to the 165 HP engine, for a power-to-weight ratio of 6.5 kg/CV and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha
The second special series, the Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha, is the result of a now long-standing partnership established in 2015 between the Scorpione brand and the Yamaha brand, under the banner of adrenaline and energy. This series embraces the values of performance, racing and fun shared by both brands, targeting a public that loves challenges and sport, even off the track.
With a 1.4 T-jet engine producing 165 hp, the Abarth 595 Monster is the outcome of the livery of the YZR-M1 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP 2020, with the classic two-tone blue and black colour scheme and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP” logo positioned above the “595” logo.
The combination with the famous energy drink is completed by the recognisable Monster ‘claw’ on the bonnet. The interiors echo the two-tone livery and here too the cars come with numbered plaques.
Sportiness is recalled not only by aesthetics, but above all by the car’s features, such as the standard sports steering wheel with a centring mark at the top and the Sport button.
Sporty character and adrenalin go hand in hand with safety, however. A braking system developed specifically for Abarth and rear suspension with FSD technology to increase road holding and stability are standard equipment.
Once again, the Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha is equipped with the UconnectTM 7″ HD system integrated with the Abarth Telemetry platform, which allows the driver to measure its performance.
