Acer unveils the Porsche Design Acer Book RS: features and news

8 February 2021

Very often it is the most surprising collaborations that result in incredible products, in terms of performance, design and concept. Over the past few months, Acer has been working with a number of well-known automotive brands, including Porsche Design.

The two giants of their respective sectors have recently launched the new fruit of their special collaboration: a notebook with intriguing properties and top-level performance. The Porsche Design Acer Book RS is both stylish and high-performance, making it the perfect laptop for everyday use.

From a stylistic point of view, the design has also been created with comfort and portability in mind: the all-metal body and carbon fibre covers make it a light and compact product, weighing 1.2 kg and 15.99 mm thick.

However, underneath this sleek design, the Porsche Design Acer Book RS actually offers processors up to the latest 11th generation Intel Core™ i7 and a GPU with integrated Xe graphics (NVIDIA GeForce MX350 optional), 16GB of RAM and EVO certification.

The 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen coated with an antimicrobial layer is heavily enhanced by ultra-thin bezels. The battery is designed to last up to 17 hours and supports fast charging – far more than a full day of work, study or any other activity. Dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) connectivity, a full range of ports (USB-C, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2) and smart features complete the package of features available to the user.

In addition, the Porsche Design Acer Book RS features backlit keys and a glass touchpad. The notebook’s performance is enhanced by the cooling system and dual copper heat pipes that allow for faster heat dissipation. The Porsche Design Acer Book RS will be available in Italy starting at €2,399, including Travelpack: the premium package includes Core i7 notebook, travel kit and mouse.

Mediability is pleased to continue to walk side by side with a company like Acer, which is always open to the future, providing services of analysis, press review and the creation, management and publication of press releases relating to its activities.
