Gluten free and social media: far from gluten but not from clients

How to improve your gluten free experience and how to increase your loyalty

At least once in your life, flipping through the restaurant menu or scrolling over the McDonald’s touchpad display, you have probably read the words “gluten-free”. Raise your hand if you really know what we’re talking about and why it is so important in the gastronomic field.

People often talk about gluten-free diets, especially among fitness fans and “miracle worker” diets.

The gluten-free world is much more than that. It is a specific diet for all of those, who suffer from coeliac disease. Beware, however: it is neither intolerance nor allergy with its respective “degrees”.

For a coeliac costumer, the inscription “gluten-free” or the famous crossed-out ear of corn is really a lifesaver! Therefore, a restaurant or big food chains, such ad McDonald’s, must allow their costumers to enjoy the meal without fear of contamination.

If you are wondering how to do this, we can give you some tips!

It is not enough to post your dishes on social medias or on your website, even if well managed. Nevertheless, you need to add the services you offer, from vegan to gluten-free. Which means that you need a communication strategy tailored to you, relying on experts.

A great way to do this is by sponsoring your partnership with large gluten-free manufacturers on your social networks: among them, for example, Schär. By doing like this, customers will learn about raw materials you use for your food!

Some restaurants, although affiliated with AIC (Associazione Italiana Celiachia), do not display this collaboration with the organisation. For a coeliac, who’s browsing your website, reading about this collaboration and why your company has decided to pay attention to this topic is essential.

If the gluten-free food you offer is totally produced by you, create videos where you show what you do, post your works on your social medias. This attitude will certainly increase the curiosity of the coeliac customer. Propose alternatives that will whet the costumer’s appetite and hunger.

Therefore, if you are interested in increasing the degree of satisfaction of your target and its trust, contact Mediability and we will be happy to realise communcation tailored to your needs, adapting the demand to your offer.
