Golden Hearts, the Gran Gala's 2nd edition is a success again
The second edition of the Golden Hearts Gran Gala was held yesterday, Monday 18 March 2024: the event dedicated to fair play in the Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta football scene. Organised by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta, the Comitato regionale Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta and the entire FIGC – Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, the ceremony was hosted by the Concordia Theatre in Venaria Reale and, a year and a half after the first edition, has renewed the importance and centrality of values such as share and respect within sport and especially football, narrating the stories of all the people who daily contribute to the pursuit of this goal, with passion and generosity.
There were two categories of award-winners: ten managers from amateur clubs in Piemonte and Val d’Aosta, who had the opportunity to talk about their own stories of success and development in their local area, and five footballers from the local youth sectors who, over the past year, have distinguished themselves for fair play on the pitch. Each youth was joined on stage by the mayor of his or her home town. The evening was also an opportunity to unveil to the public the new federal technical centre that, starting in the spring, will be built in Venaria Reale.
Once again, the event was a great success, with more than 400 attendees contributing to create a truly unique atmosphere. Testifying to the importance of the evening and the values it conveyed was the presence on stage of a series of prominent personalities, including testimonials from the football world and institutional offices of the Piemonte Region and the City of Turin: from the President of the Piemonte Region Alberto Cirio to its Sports Councillor Fabrizio Ricca, from the LND President Giancarlo Abete to the President of the Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta Regional Committee Mauro Foschia. In front of an outstanding audience were also Evelina Christillin, UEFA’s additional member of the FIFA Council, Perr Schuurs, Torino FC defender, Paulina Nyström, Juventus women’s striker, as well as Valle d’Aosta’s Regional Councillor for Sport Giulio Grosjacques and the City of Venaria Reale’s Mayor, Fabio Giulivi. The evening also saw the participation, via video connection, of FIGC President Gabriele Gravina at the opening; the event was also available via live streaming, in order to ensure wide visibility for the important topics discussed and to allow all those who could not physically attend to participate.
It was a special evening that made it possible to convey messages which are increasingly relevant today, both in the sports world and in society at large. Mediability and PressMediaLAB are proud to have once again played an important role in the event: from the wider organisation – from the search for the location to the creation of the graphic materials, from the catering to the award ceremonies – to the promotion of the event, and the all-round support with press office activities.
