Horizon Index is born, the new and innovative service launched by Horizon Automotive, able to revolutionize the dynamics of the entire NLT world. Horizon Index is a unique tool in the automotive scene, which allows to visualize the best long-term rental rates on the web, giving important indications to customers on how much they can really save with Horizon proposals and when may be the right time to rent the car of their dreams. With this launch, the Milan-based company offers its customers the opportunity to save not only money, but also time, in the delicate process of searching for the desired vehicle.

Horizon Index is based on a proprietary algorithm that analyzes the average trend of the fees of all the long-term rental offers present online, automatically comparing them with the Horizon rental fees. The algorithm is built on a “data scraping” system, similar to those used to guide purchases in the financial markets, which analyzes all online rental rates for the same model and version, with the same contractual characteristics (e.g. mileage, duration and advance payment), and compares them with the offers on the Horizon website.

If the price of the rental fee proposed by Horizon is cheaper than the average fee on the web, this is reported to the user through an icon that shows the degree of savings obtainable. In addition, a graph allows to visualize the evolution of the rental fees in time, with the aim of giving indications on when it could be the right moment to rent the desired car.
