Microsoft revolutionises the notebook sector with new Surface and Copilot AI features

Microsoft has ushered in a new era in the evolution of notebooks with the introduction of its latest models: Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11. These devices, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processors and equipped with advanced artificial intelligence features, promise to redefine the standards of performance and versatility in the industry.

Aimed primarily at the business and professional sector, the Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11 offer an unprecedented computing experience with a price-performance ratio that reflects the exceptional value of their hardware and software features. In fact, with a base price of 1,229 euros, these new models are now available for pre-order, with the first deliveries scheduled to start on 18 June.

Among their distinctive features stands out the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), a dedicated processor designed to perform advanced calculations required for artificial intelligence applications. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, these notebooks offer superior performance and exceptional battery life, while exploiting the full potential of artificial intelligence to optimise the user experience.

The Surface Laptop 7 is available in two size variants, 13.8-inch and 15-inch, with RAM expansion options of up to 64 gigabytes and ample one-terabyte storage space.

The Surface Pro 11 retains its distinctive design with an optional keyboard, while introducing significant improvements such as an ultrawide quad HD front camera for video calls and a 10-megapixel rear camera for 4K video recording.

However, the innovations do not stop there. Microsoft has introduced a number of AI features exclusive to Copilot+ devices, including Recall, which enables intelligent file searches based on advanced language patterns; Live translations, which enables instant real-time translation during audio or video calls in 44 different languages; Windows studio effects, which offers creative filters and lighting enhancements during video calls; and Cocreator, which stimulates creativity and accelerates the process of producing visual and artistic content. These revolutionary features allow users to make the most of their devices’ capabilities, offering a more intuitive, efficient and creative user experience.
