At a streaming event, Microsoft unveiled new subscription plans for Office 365, which now becomes Microsoft 365.
The new plans are called Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family, both include Office Premium applications, 1 terabyte of storage on OneDrive (in the case of the family plan 1 TB per person), 60 minutes of Skype calls per month per person, 50 GB of Outlook mailbox and various security systems to protect data and privacy.
The Personal version will cost €69 per year, while the Family version will cost €99 per year and will allow up to 6 accounts with the same applications and features.
The service will also include exclusive apps and functions to make productivity better and the package even richer and more complete. Safety is also guaranteed offline thanks to Microsoft Family Safety, an important new feature designed to protect and monitor the whole family thanks to an app available for both iOS and Android devices. Microsoft Teams, the popular group chat service, will be rolled out later this year and will also be available to individuals. Office becomes even smarter with a major update to Microsoft Editor, a service that helps you improve your writing, and an enhanced and improved artificial intelligence.
Word will help improve writing and users will have access to a large library of images and videos from Getty Images for creating PowerPoint presentations.
Outlook will help reconcile personal and work commitments by synchronising the two calendars, while respecting privacy.
The service will debut on 21 April and existing Office 365 subscriptions will be automatically converted to Microsoft 365.
The Redmond giant has succeeded in further improving an excellent service used by millions of users. Mediability, which has been working with Microsoft for years, took care of preparing all the materials needed for the extraordinary launch: displays, A4, cards for purchasing subscriptions and much more.
