The second edition of Festival Car is a success devoted to historic cars
It was a great success, yesterday, for the second edition of the Festival Car . The exhibition returns to animate the streets of Revigliasco Torinese after a memorable first edition far above expectations.
Founded a year ago to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Autoappassionati.it and celebrate the elegance of the historic cars that made us dream the most, the festival set off with the best prospects. In addition to the well-structured street food area and a much better climate than last year, the program featured two major novelties: the introduction of a section dedicated to “American Tribute” models and the world premiere presentation of the new “Testadoro Essenziale” model, conditions that attracted, in addition to the public, the local press and numerous journalists.
In line with the previous edition, the heart of the festival was the Concorso d’Eleganza, the “catwalk” for some of the most beautiful cars of historic and collector interest. The participants, and their more than 100 cars, met at 9:30 a.m. at the Moncalieri Castle to set off for Revigliasco, following an itinerary through the beautiful curves of the Turinese hillside, graced by the class of the fabulous convoy, exceptionally led by the Ferrari Purosangue.
Arriving at 11 a.m. at the “Riviera di Torino”, the inspection by the jury began, which again this year consisted of special guests and prominent figures from the automotive world, such as Roberto Giolito, Head of Heritage in the Stellantis Group, Fabrizio Giugiaro, the great Dindo Capello, Fabio Ricupero, representative for Changan Automobile European Designing Center, Harry Miesbauer, Yacht Designer and Alfredo Stola, Chairman of Studiotorino.
Among the displayed brands for the “Italian Dreams” group were Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, together with many Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia, while for the “American Tribute” category, to which an entire thematic area was dedicated, Dodge, Jeep, Chevrolet, Buick (especially the 41 C Special model competed with by the Automobile Museum), Ram and Cadillac were the companies that best represented the “Made in USA” style, capturing the enthusiasts’ attention, later catalyzed by the world premiere presentation of the “Testadoro Essenziale”.
Dario Pasqualini’s creation, which came to life through the “Arte di Boita” exhibition-show at the automobile museum, was finally unveiled to the world after a 6-month journey that focused on passion, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to create what is not just a work of art, but will become a real fireball with a 265-hp 3.0 6-cylinder rear-wheel-drive engine, a manual transmission, and a weight that will be around 900 kg.
The Testadoro Essenziale graced an edition that didn’t disappoint the fans’ and curious people’s expectations, raising the bar for what could happen in the coming years because, when passion is on the wheel, the road can only be full of satisfaction. Mediability is proud to have stood by Festival Car and handled its press office activities.
